Ahead of today's Knesset primaries in the Meretz Party Chairwoman Tamar Zandberg estimates that the party is capable of doubling its strength in the upcoming elections.

A poll by Yisrael Hayom gave Meretz seven seats while an Israeli public radio gave the party four Knesset seats. Interviewed by Channel 13 Television, she said, "In the past few weeks, after Gantz entered the political arena, it (Meretz) is an island of stability," explaining, "All the parties in our bloc were hurt a lot, except for us." Zandberg also said, "There are twice as many Israelis who support Meretz's worldview than those who voted for us in the last elections."
