Canada opposes end to TIPH mandate

Canadian Ambassador to Israel Deborah Lyons wrote on Twitter, Monday evening, "Canada regrets Israel's unilateral decision not to renew the mandate of Temporary International Presence in Hebron. This important mission helped prevent violence in Hebron. The safety of all civilians must be ensured. Ending this mission does not advance prospects for peace."
