The Israel Police Department has completed an investigation into the case of Doctor Irena Bloch, director of the neurology department at the Haemek Hospital in Afula, on suspicion of bribery and other offenses.
It is suspected that dozens of patients referred to Dr. Bloch through intermediaries were granted an increase in the percentage of disability in the mobility committees of the Ministry of Health on which she sat. As a result, these patients received higher benefits from the Bituach Leumi National Insurance Institute. The case will be transferred to the State Prosecutor's Office for review and decision.
