Mayor Ron Kobi of Tiberias has reached understandings with Arab mayors and Knesset members from the Joint List of predominantly Arab parties that the abandoned mosque on the Lake Kinneret/Sea of Galilee promenade in the city will not become a museum.
It was also decided that the mosque would not become active or used for any worship.
