With two days to go before the closing of applications, a record number number of nominations has been received for the Oz Zion Lion of Zion and Ruach Zion Spirit of Zion awards of the 12th annual Moskowitz Prize for Zionism, which will be awarded annually on Jerusalem Day.
The Lion of Zion prize, which was founded by late Irving Moskowitz and his wife and Cherna, is awarded to Israeli citizens, residents of Israel, who embody modern Zionism in Israel through their actions and the Spirit of Zion prize, awarded to young people up to the age of 32, seeks to find and encourage new ideas designed to deal with the challenges of Zionism in Israel.
