John Dingell, who was the longest-serving member of the US Congress, died on Thursday at the age of 92.
Detroit media reported he was in hospice care after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, which he had decided not to treat. Dingell, who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from December 13, 1955, until January 3, 2015, was a member of the Democratic party.
