Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman MK Avi Dichter (Likud) addressed the decision of the Planning and Budgeting Committee to prevent the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine at Ariel University.
"Some see the opening of the university in Ariel as a political step that cancels their dream of a Palestinian state, and to hell with half a million Israelis living in Judea and Samaria. "The government that will be formed under the leadership of the Likud will ensure equal treatment for Israelis on both sides of the Green Line on the subject of university and medicine, as well as other things," Dichter promised.
