Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and Director General of the Ministry of Health Moshe Bar Siman Tov reacted strongly to the decision of The board of education to cancel the approval for the establishment of a medical school at Ariel University.
Litzman said that "this is an essential and critical component in increasing the number of medical students in Israel. It is inconceivable that half of Israel's medical graduates come from abroad in schools that are not always satisfactory. "
Bar Siman Tov added: "We regret the decision and call for a change in the decision, we will continue to work together to get the school established."
