The head of the Efrat local council, Oded Revivi eulogized the late Rabbi Yehiel Eckstein, who passed away.
"Anyone who makes his way through Ben-Gurion Airport encountered Rabbi Eckstein. The rabbi knew how to reach the periphery and help where the state had difficulty. In doing so, he contributed greatly to national strength, "Revivi said.
"I met him more than once, even when he was abroad, where he worked to connect Diaspora Jewry to Israel and with a great smile that we lack now he knew how to build a unique bridge of bringing together hearts. I hope we find a way to fill the void left by a great man of action, "added the head of the Efrat council.
