Attorney Nati Rom of the Honenu legal-aid organization, said, Tuesday, that Honenu intends to file a complaint with the Department for Investigating Police after four minors and a young man were detained overnight while they were driving on Begin Boulevard in Jerusalem and were only released in the morning.
Rom said, "This is a real scandal. Minors on the verge of criminal responsibility are arrested in the middle of the night returning from a wedding without any reasonable suspicion." He noted, "Their attorney was also not fully questioned," and "After many hours of waiting they were released, with an invitation to be interrogated the next day." He also said, "This is a serious violation of their rights."
