The Chelsea Football Club celebrated the first anniversary of the global campaign against antisemitism with United Nations ambassadors from around the world, late Monday night in Tel Aviv.
During the festive event hosted by Chelsea FC, the UN Ambassadors visiting Israel were presented with the significant work that the soccer club has achieved in just one year, as well as the campaign’s future plans and activities for the upcoming year. Those plans include a friendly match against the New England Revolution in the United States, with owners Roman Abramovich and Robert Kraft each contributing $1 million to the campaign. Chelsea and the World Jewish Congress will hold an international summit to battle discrimination, racism and antisemitism in sports, gathering sports ministers and other government officials from around the world.
