President Donald Trump of the United States is due to announce, soon, a candidate for the position of Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism at the State Department.
The special envoy develops and implements policies and projects to support efforts to combat anti-Semitism. The position was established by the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act of 2004. Members of the House and Senate have expressed concern since 2017 about the position being vacant.
