Deputy Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman said, Monday, "The State of Israel, the health system and the Ministry are deeply grateful" to Professor Rafi Beyar who is completing his term as director of Haifa's Rambam Hospital, after serving for decades in the most senior positions in the Israeli health system.

Rabbi Litzman cited Professor Beyar for "magnificent public service" as chairman of the drug basket committee, as an award-winning researcher and a senior physician, "but above all as a person and a citizen who contributes to society." Wishing him "great success wherever he goes," Litzman said, "I am sure and hope that he will continue to contribute to the people and the health system with his many abilities in the near future."
