The official value of the shekel rose an average of .252 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.
The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.627, down .165 percent from Friday, while the Euro declined .137 percent to 4.1531 shekels and the pound sterling was set at 4.7357 shekels, down .49 percent. The Canadian dollar rose a quarter of a percent to NIS 2.7697 and the Japanese yen fell 1.025 percent, 100 yen being worth 3.3009 shekels.
