The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jareeda reports that a meeting scheduled to take place yesterday between the various factions in Gaza and Egyptian representatives was canceled due to a crisis between the sides.
According to the report, Egypt canceled the meeting after Hamas asked Qatar to extend its patronage of internal Palestinian dialogue. Egypt viewed this as "unacceptable behavior on the part of Hamas."
