The Jerusalem District Commander, Police Major General Yoram Halevy, held a special situation assessment Tuesday evening with the staff of the Command and the investigating bodies following the incident at the synagogue in Kiryat Yovel and the desecration of the Torah scrolls.
At the end of the assessment, the district commander decided to transfer the investigation file to the central unit of the Jerusalem District and instructed it to allocate the resources and means necessary to bring the suspects to their custody.
