The Ministry of Finance has informed the Education Ministry of a 350-million-shekl cut in the construction budget of local authorities, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation. The Finance Ministry's decision was made because Mifal Hapayis national lottery did not transfer the budget to the treasury, the second time that such a freeze has been due to the same reason.
The Education Ministry responded by saying, "This decision by the Ministry of Finance will leave more than 10,000 students without a framework of studies, and the severe damage will be mainly to the authorities in an accelerated construction processes, against the backdrop of the construction of new neighborhoods."
