Minister Ze'ev Elkin has congratulated Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on his decision not to extend the mandate of the Temporary International Presence in Hevron.

Elkin said, "We do not need foreign inspectors in our ancestral city. Hevron is the city of our forefathers and it belongs to the people of Israel and the State of Israel. Less foreign intervention will also cause less incitement and less hostile activity on the part of the Palestinians."
