The Ministry of Health is closing the only department in Israel for tuberculosis patients, which is located at Shmuel Harofeh Hospital in the central Israeli town of Be'er Yaakov, according to Israeli public television.
The department will be closed after its director retires at the end of the month, and there are no TB-specialist lung doctors who will replace her.
