Director Ilan Steiner of the Bank of Israel's Currency Department told Israel Defense Forces Radio on Thursday, "The law to reduce the use of cash is not so dramatic - no one is talking about canceling cash."
Doctor Steiner explained, "It is important to preserve this infrastructure because it has a significant role, especially in emergency situations."
