Former defense minister Avigdor Liberman has attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu due to Netanyahu's intention to approve the transfer of Qatari money to the Gaza Strip. Writing on Facebook, Liberman said, "The day before yesterday we heard Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's 'dramatic' announcement about stopping the transfer of Qatari money to Hamas activists in Gaza. At last it seemed that the prime minister understands that we must stop paying the protection money to the terrorists and fund the terror against ourselves."

Liberman continued, "But what? A day passed and the decision was gone with the wind. It was a` declaration for a moment.' Hamas threatened and Netanyahu folded. It became clear that as far as he was concerned, an attempt to assassinate an IDF officer and riots on the Gaza border did not justify canceling the sponsorship payments. Hamas leaders feel immune and secure, and the Israeli government is afraid. Confusion is absolute!"
