Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Iran would remain in Syria as long as it was asked to remain there.
In an interview with the Iranian news agency IRNA, Shamkhani said that Tehran would continue to provide aid to Syria as long as Damascus needed its help in the war on terror.
