Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum on Tuesday night blamed Israel for the tension in the south.
"Israel bears full responsibility for the consequences of the escalation and the consequences of the ongoing attacks against the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance. The resistance will not allow the use of Palestinian blood for the elections in Israel, and will take measures to protect their interests," he said.
