The Jerusalem Magistrates Court has acquitted Yaakov Scago of being charged with shooting at Palestinian Authority rioters about eight years ago when about 100 residents of the PA village of Qusra came to work on contested agricultural land near the Jewish community of Esh Kodesh.
There was a confrontation and Scago was sent to the scene because he was a member of the first-response squad of the nearby Jewish community of Shvut Rachel. In handing down the decision, the judge cited contradictions in the testimony of prosecution witnesses.
