The Palestinian Authority has vetoed United States involvement in promoting economic projects in its territory, refused to send its Finance Minister to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and a meeting of finance ministers, which was to be held there with the participation of Minister of Finance Kahlon, was canceled, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
After months of economic projects between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, and ahead of the signing of economic agreements on the sidelines of the forum, PA Finance Minister Shukri Bishara announced at the last minute that he would not attend the conference. All the economic projects that were to be launched after the signing have been frozen for now.
