Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein planted a tree in the Knesset plaza for the Tu B'Shvat holiday and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Knesset.
Joining them were disabled employees of the Knesset who were told by Netanyahu that they will become full-time Knesset employees. Edelstein told the prime minister, "Today we celebrate 70 years for our Knesset and our democracy. Someone like you knows how admired it is in the world and especially in the Middle East among the Arab countries. Israel is an example of a flourishing democracy."
