President Reuven Rivlin took part on Monday in the memorial ceremony for the seven girls from Beit Shemesh murdered by a Jordanian soldier at Naharayim, the Island of Peace, 22 years ago.
Rivlin told the bereaved families, “Every year on Tu Bishvat, the new year of the trees and the holiday of nature, we come here to plant life where life was taken. On the island stained by blood, a small forest is growing. A forest of love, of longing, a forest of beauty."
