The Tel Aviv District Court accepted on Monday the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality's appeal regarding its authority to enforce parking offenses by means of fixed-line video cameras.
The court ruled that in light of the fact that the cameras are located on main traffic arteries, placing the cameras there does not cause any real harm to privacy. Thus, the court overturned the decision of the Court for Local Affairs, which ruled out evidence obtained through video clips from the stationary cameras.
