The official Syrian news agency reported that the country's defense systems "immediately intercepted Israel's missiles and succeeded in bringing down dozens of hostile targets launched by the Israeli enemy."
Syrian media reported earlier that the army had deployed anti-aircraft systems over Damascus in response to the Israeli attack on Iranian targets in the area.
