After their team announced, today, its refusal to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in seven days, and just before the opening whistle of the Tel Aviv derby game in the 15th round of the Premier League in basketball, there was more verbal violence by fans of Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Among the things they chanted, "There should be a Holocaust for Maccabi," "Maccabi is Neo-Nazis," and "[Maccabi owner] Shimon Mizrahi, commit suicide already." Similar action by Hapoel soccer fans last week resulted in a fined of 25,000 shekels, and the recommendation of the court of the Football Association to take the players to a lecture at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum.
