Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (New Right) responded Thursday to attacks against her following the investigation into sexual bribery in exchange for the appointment of the judges, in which former chairman of the Israel Bar Association, Effi Naveh, was allegedly involved.
"In the past few days, I have been subjected to uncontrolled, false and inciting attacks, false accusations and other fabrications. But the most disappointing attack of all is the offensive by the left-wing Zionists. The kind I worked with in the Knesset in a straight, honest way. They know me well. We are ideologically divided, but I saw them as workmates. They are all women. And that's my disappointment. They are exploiting this last affair for a personal and ugly political campaign, "Shaked said.
"The political attacks on the left will not shake my hand. I intend to serve as a law minister for another four years until I complete the revolution that I began. And I will repeat what the president and I said yesterday: We rely on the law enforcement system to deal with such affairs and get to the truth. "
