Member of Knesset Oded Forer (Yisrael Beytenu) submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court on behalf of the party's Knesset faction expressing opposition to postponement of the expiration of the existing law regulating induction into the Israel Defense Forces.

Forer said, "The Government of Israel was required to enact a new recruitment law in accordance with the conditions of the court and even began the process of legislation. The government proposal passed first reading and could have passed it on the second and third readings. Also from the political point of view, the fact that the Knesset decided to disperse does not allow the postponement - after all, the government convened the Knesset during the election period to approve the appointment of two ministers, as a political precedent for elections, and succeeded in mobilizing its coalition majority for the matter."
