A top North Korean official is set to meet US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington later this week, four people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg News on Wednesday.
Kim Yong Chol, a top aide to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, is scheduled to be in Washington Friday as part of negotiations over the country’s nuclear program, according to three of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private deliberations.
