State Comptroller Yosef Shapira has asked Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit if he had approved a $300,000 donation to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu from his cousin Nathan Nathan Milikowsky to finance Netanyahu's legal expenses.

Netanyahu had asked the attorney general a few months ago to allow him to receive the donations. Mandelblit referred the request to the permits committee that operates with the State Comptroller, who rejected the request. A statement on behalf of the prime minister noted that the Knesset Ethics Committee has already determined that Netanyahu could receive the funding from his cousin without said approval.
