An accident involving an Israeli vehicle and a truck occurred near the junction of the Shaar Binyamin industrial zone.
United Hatzalah medic Michael Chai Cohen arrived at the scene: "Together with IDF medical teams we gave initial medical assistance at the scene of the accident to the driver of the vehicle, who was seriously injured. A passenger sitting next to him in the front of the car was unfortunately killed on the spot."
