Meretz Party Chairwoman Tamar Zandberg told the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation on Thursday, "I'm sick of those who explain to me that the people are right-wing and there's nothing to be done about it. In the Likud there is almost only an extreme right - Bibi [Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu -ed.] is extreme right, because he is afraid of the settlement lobby. There are currently eight Knesset seats in the Jewish Home that determine eight million people's lives."
Zandberg also said, "There is no government alternative without a moral alternative. There is no peace agreement without removing settlements. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to the public - who needs to know who is leading it toward a Messianic catastrophe."
