The head of the New Right party, Minister Naftali Bennett, has responded to remarks attributed to Member of Knesset Shuli Moalem, who occupies the third spot on the party's list of candidates, according to which Israel must aspire to becoming a state of Jewish law.

Writing on Twitter, Bennett said, "For those who did not understand - the new right is a right-wing party of secular and religious people with different opinions, and this is our beauty and uniqueness. But only the platform of the party will obligate everyone. The party's platform will determine that we are in favor of Jewish roots and tradition, but oppose religious coercion, and we will continue to act for unity among the people."
