Mohammed Akashi, 44 of Shfaram was convicted of causing death by negligence, abandoning after injury and driving during a time of disqualification.
In April 2017, Akashi, while driving on Route 70 near Tamra, hit motorcycle rider Michael Axelrod and died at the site.
