Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said in a joint statement with Minister Yoav Galant in the Knesset: "We're now welcoming Galant, a reservist general who served in the IDF for 35 years."
"You commanded many operations, you were Southern Regional Commander, including in Operation Cast Lead, and you were an excellent minister and cabinet member. I was very impressed by your seriousness and professionalism; welcome to the Likud," Netanyahu told Galant.
