The NGO Movement for Quality Government sent a letter to Attorney General Avichai Mandelbit following Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu's statements last night (Monday) in which he demanded to be able to confront state witnesses.
"The Prime Minister's words are intended to frighten the interrogators, the State Prosecutors Office, and worst of all the State Witnesses- to the extent that they would be forbidden to provide testimony. The Prime Minister did so by exploiting his position and instilling panic among the Israeli public, who held their breath for many hours until the 'dramatic' announcement was made." The NGO said.
