The World Bank has announced that President Jim Yong Kim of the World Bank Group will resign effective February 1st, more than three years ahead of the expiration of his term in 2022.
Kim announced that he will immediately join a firm and focus on increasing infrastructure in developing countries. Chief Executive Officer Kristalina Georgieva will become interim president.
