The IDF Spokesperson's Office reported that an IDF combat soldier had fallen this morning during a navigation exercise in northern Israel.
A notice was given to his family. Following the incident, the commander of the ground forces, Major General Kobi Barak, ordered the halting of all the navigations in the IDF.
Military police began investigating the incident. The commander of the Central Command, Major General Nadav Padan, ordered the establishment of a team of experts headed by the commander of the Etzioni Brigade, Colonel Oren Simcha, to examine the circumstances of the incident.
