The Military Police have opened an investigation of two soldiers from the haredi-religious Netzach Yehuda Battalion of the Israel Defense Forces, according to Israeli public radio.
According to an initial investigation, the two soldiers tried to release three right-wing activists who had been arrested after throwing stones. A confrontation broke out between the soldiers and Border Guards, which ended when the policemen took control of the fighters and brought them to their commanders. The soldiers have been suspended from their positions until the end of the investigation.
