The number of tourists entering Israel in 2018 was 4,120,800 - an increase of about 14% compared with 2017 and an increase of about 42% compared to 2016.
Tourism Minister Yariv Levin says this is an historic high: "The peak is the result of a revolutionary change in Israel's marketing through developing infrastructure, opening air routes from new destinations to Israel, and creating cooperation with the largest tourist agents among the olim. Tourism entering Israel provides an extensive economic contribution and no less important informational contribution."
