Culture Minister Miri Regev slammed the Attorney General before entering this morning's cabinet meeting: "The Attorney General's behavior seems to be trying to be part of the choir of those trying to topple Netanyahu. The Attorney General, who's experienced the same demonstrations at his synagogue and next to his house, knows this. We know, and it's happened more than once, that the Attorney General makes a decision and the court annuls it."

Regev added that "this is not an appropriate situation where a public official is hanged in the city square before an election campaign, when you know that Netanyahu is the most suitable candidate for prime minister. We see this in all the polls; no one comes up to his leadership. Therefore, I expect the Attorney General to wait with the recommendations and if he decides to publish, then he should announce that the hearing will end before the elections."
