The Ministry of Finance said, Thursday, "The director general of the National Insurance Institute is conducting a campaign of blackmail against the Finance Ministry in an attempt to remove from the institution any criticism of government gatekeepers, in order to improve his personal salary and to do what he wants with public funds."
The ministry was responding to the institute's decision not to transfer its surplus funds to the State Treasury.
