After two years of preparations, artificial heart transplant surgery was performed at Shaarei Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, in collaboration with doctors from Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva.
The patient is a 72-year-old resident of Beit Shemesh, who was suffering from severe heart failure, which restricted his steps and caused him difficulty in daily life.
