The Knesset plenum approved in second and third reading the proposed bill by Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (New Right), which joined MK Moalem's (New Right) bill to impose fines on prostitution consumers.

The bill establishes a criminal prohibition on the consumption of prostitution and the prohibition on being in a place used for prostitution in order to consume prostitution. The criminal offense will be an administrative offense with a fine of NIS 2,000 and a recurring offense within three years - NIS 4,000.
