The State Prosecutor's Office is negotiating a plea bargain with former minister Gonen Segev, who is accused of spying for Iran, according to Channel 2 News.

Segev's trial was supposed to begin in early November, but there was not a single hearing. In sensitive security cases, the state has an interest in reaching an agreement, thus avoiding bringing witnesses to court and exposing intelligence methods, even when it comes to testimony behind closed doors.
