Egyptian sources have told the London-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has asked the Egyptians to send a message to Gaza terrorists that he wants a long-term ceasefire because of the early elections in Israel.
According to the report, Netanyahu also asked the Egyptians to ease the passage of Gaza residents through the Rafah crossing so as not to provide Hamas with an excuse to escalate the situation.
